Description
The building is a dairy and brewhouse located to the south of Elm Farmhouse, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of stone rubble with red brick dressings and has a roof now covered in corrugated iron, featuring a brick chimney. The structure is one and a half storeys tall. The front includes an 18th-century fixed casement window with leaded lights and a wide cambered entrance fitted with double ledged and braced doors. The gables have casement windows with brick surrounds. It was likely originally used as a dairy and brewhouse, with sleeping accommodation for farm hands above. Later, grain bins were added, and the ground floor was repurposed for stabling.
