Description
Devonshire House is a semi-detached building, possibly originally one house, located on Spencer Road, dating from around 1830. It stands two storeys high and is faced with stucco. The building features a parapet and cornice, with two windows in total, one of which is a blocked window space. There are two bow windows, each consisting of two windows, on both storeys. The windows are recessed, are sash type with intact glazing bars, and have block sills. The entrance to Devonshire House, which is on the Spencer Road front and numbered accordingly, is similar to that of No 8 St Thomas's Street, which has a round-headed recessed doorway with a semi-circular fanlight and a blocked window space above it.
