Description

No. 9 Lugley Street, known as the Congregational Church Hall, is an early 19th-century building that stands two storeys tall. The exterior features a rendered finish with painted rusticated quoins and a plinth, along with a blind bay to the west. A pediment spans the entire front of the building. There are three recessed sash windows with glazing bars and block sills. The central entrance consists of double doors, set back from the front, made up of four fielded panels and topped with a rectangular fanlight. Access to the entrance is via five steps, which lead to a plain rendered surround with a cornice. This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 9 to 17 (odd).
