Description
St Catherine's House is a mid-19th century house designed in the Gothic style. It is constructed of ashlar stone with a slate roof and features yellow brick chimneystacks. The building has two storeys and attics, with two windows and one blank space on the second floor. There are two large gables adorned with fretted wooden bargeboards and spike finials. The second floor includes two 9-pane sash windows, while the first floor has two 12-pane sash windows and a central blank space. On the ground floor, there are two 16-pane sash windows and a central doorcase that features an open pediment, engaged columns with waterleaf capitals, an arched doorcase with hood moulding, and a six-panelled door. To the left, there is a two-storey, two-bay extension that matches the style of the main house.
