Description

Westfield is a substantial villa dating to circa 1850, situated within spacious grounds. The villa is constructed of tooled ashlar with yellow rubble banding, vermiculated quoins, and voussoirs to the flat window arches. The east-facing entrance side has 5 windows, with glazing bar sashes, and a large round-arched porte cochere centrally located. A low-pitched slate roof with deep flat eaves and corniced chimneys completes the exterior. The long garden front showcases 9 windows, with the central three arranged in a full-height bow, topped with a curved roof. French casements are found on the ground floor of this bow. An ornate cast iron colonnade supports a scalloped slate-roofed verandah that extends across the bow.
