Description

This is a late 18th century group of ten terraced houses, numbered 69 to 79, located on Carisbrooke Road. The houses are built of gault brick and have gable ends covered with old tiles. They are two storeys high and typically feature one window per front elevation. Most windows are recessed sash windows with glazing bars. Number 69 is distinguished by a first-floor bow window of three lights, which incorporates a wire frame window box. Each house has a paired front door with a flat hood and blind semi-circular recessed panels above. Slate hangs the gable ends of numbers 69 and 79. Numbers 69 to 83 and 87 to 97 form a cohesive group.
