Description
This is a terrace of houses, built around 1830. The buildings are stucco-faced over brick, with their roofs and chimneys hidden behind parapets. The terrace comprises numbers 7 to 15, and number 7 returns onto Lower Market Street, while number 15 abuts number 16 Waterloo Street. The houses are four storeys high, with a basement level. Most have a single window frontage, although all except number 9 feature full-height, fully glazed bow fronts. The windows are sash windows with varying patterns of glazing bars. Individual cast-iron balconies are present. The ground floors are rusticated, and the entrances have square heads with a variety of doorcases and porches supported by paired or single pilasters, some with Corinthian capitals. Cast-iron railings extend from the entrances along the street frontage, with gates providing access to the basement areas.
