Description
Numbers 13 to 24 and attached railings are a row of terraced houses dating to the early 19th century. The houses are constructed of stucco, with the original roofs hidden behind a parapet. Numbers 13, 14, and 15 are four storeys over a basement, while the remaining houses are three storeys and an attic over a basement, each with two windows. The paired entrances are flat-arched with overlights; the entrances to numbers 14 and 15 are now blocked, with access provided through numbers 13 and 16 respectively. The entrances are framed by Tuscan pilasters and an entablature. A projecting bay window rises next to each entrance; the bays to numbers 13 to 16 extend just below the parapet, while the bays to the remaining houses are full height. The bays to numbers 13 to 15 are canted, with the others being segmental. The windows are tripartite and flat-arched. Some original windows remain in numbers 17 to 20, 22, and 24. Storey bands are present between the first and second floors, and also between the second and third floors of numbers 13 to 16. A dentil cornice is found on number 15, interrupted by the top of the bay; number 20 lacks an entablature, while the entablatures between the second floor and attic on numbers 17 to 20 are incomplete, but those on numbers 21 to 24 are complete. The interior of the houses has not been inspected. Original railings are present to the stairs and areas, and stacks are built into the party walls.
