Description
The tomb of the Ginnett family, particularly John Frederick Ginnett, who was a circus proprietor, is located approximately 150 meters west of the Woodvale crematorium. It was built around 1892 and features granite, Portland stone, and another type of stone. The base is made of granite with rock-faced rustication, topped by granite posts and chains. The tomb itself is designed as a Portland stone plinth with apsidal ends. The broad faces of the tomb are divided into panels by Ionic pilasters that support a lozenge-patterned frieze, and it is crowned by a figure of a pony.
