Description
No. 3 Bond Street is a terraced house, now partly functioning as a shop, and is linked to Nos 4-5. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of brick set in Flemish bond, which is now painted. The building has three storeys over a basement, with a dormer in the attic and three windows. The ground floor features a 19th century or early 20th century shop front, which includes principal glazing bars and a fascia stop on the left side, the only surviving part of the original design. The upper windows are cambered-arched with sashes that follow the original design, except for the left-hand window on the first floor, which is blocked, and the central window on the second floor. There is a brick dentil cornice and a stack on the party wall. At the rear, there is a gabled wing with first-floor windows that have sashes of the original design and a side stack, along with a dormer in the main roof. Inside, the building has a brick-paved cellar with a window.
