Description

The walls and gate piers to the forecourt of the Norfolk Resort Hotel, located on the north side of King's Road in Brighton, were probably built in 1865. They are made of stucco and cast iron. The structure features a dwarf wall positioned between two square gate piers, which are also stuccoed and have cornices. Each pier is topped with lamp standards that consist of four griffins arranged back to back, a column adorned with spiral ornamentation, and a metal-framed globe lantern. This structure is included for its group value.
