Description
Nobbs Crook Farmhouse is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It dates back to the 16th century and has undergone significant alterations in the 20th century. The building features a timber frame that is encased in painted brick and painted weatherboarding, topped with an old tile roof that has both hipped and gabled sections.
The original rectangular plan consisted of two framed bays, but the current layout is irregular due to extensions on all sides. The farmhouse is part two storeys and part two storeys with attics, and it has two chimneys with corniced heads and clay pots.
The north front of the building is irregularly arranged, with two gables on the right side, each featuring a two-light window on the first floor and a small single light window between them. On the ground floor, there is a two-light window and a four-light window. To the left, there are three two-light windows on the ground floor, and two four-light windows on the first floor, along with two hipped dormers above, each containing a two-light window. The first floor is covered with weatherboarding. Inside, some of the timber frame is exposed in the oldest part of the farmhouse.
