Description
The piers, steps, and walls on the southwest side of the entrance forecourt to Moor Close were built in 1911 by Oliver Hill. They are constructed from red brick and York stone. The entrance features a flight of five and four rectangular stone steps, which are flanked at the lower level by two panelled brick piers that have moulded stone bases and caps. To the left, there is a brick retaining wall in English bond with a weathered top, which connects the left-hand pier to the pergola court.
