Description
The piers, steps, and walls on the northwest side of the entrance forecourt to Moor Close were built in 1911 by Oliver Hill. They are made of red brick and York stone. The central feature is a flight of four rectangular stone steps aligned with the entrance of the house. This is flanked by two tall panelled brick piers that have moulded stone caps. There is a low retaining wall on each side of the steps; on the right, it extends approximately 5 metres, and on the left, it extends about 6 metres to a lower brick pier of a similar design.
