Description

The Moyer Monument, located in the churchyard 20 yards west-southwest of the tower on Church Road in Leyton, commemorates the death of Benjamin Moyer in 1757. It is made of Portland stone and features an octagonal shape. The monument has a rusticated plinth with blank arches, which is adorned on two principal faces with skull keystones and segmental pediments. Above this, the upper stage includes a circular domed temple.
