Description
No. 669 High Road is a detached house, now used as offices, dating from the mid to late 18th century and has been restored. The building is constructed of stock brick and features a slate mansard roof with a parapet. It is designed in the 'Gothick' style and has two storeys with three bays. The central bay is slightly advanced and includes a central arched entrance set within an open pedimented Doric porch, flanked by corner pilasters. The windows have gauged ogee arches, which have been reinstated on the ground floor, and feature sash windows with glazing bars arranged in an intersecting pattern. There is a console cornice above the first floor, and the building has three flat-topped dormers with glazing bars. The interior has not been inspected. A large late 20th-century extension at the rear is not considered to be of special interest.
