Description

19 Park Hill is a Grade II* listed building, built around 1867 for the writer William Hale White, who is better known as 'Mark Rutherford'. The architect was Vinall, a pupil of Philip Webb. The building has two storeys, with the lower part constructed of yellow brick and the upper part tile-hung, featuring two gables at the front. It has a tiled roof and includes paired and three-light sash windows. There is a small porch on the north side and a bay window on the south side, which has a timber-framed gable above and panels of pargetting. Additionally, a large billiard room or studio has been added at the rear, along with storage areas below.
