Description

The Belmont War Memorial is a stone cross adorned with a laurel wreath, positioned on a tall, multi-layered pedestal. The front of the pedestal features a plaque that reads: "TO THE / GLORY OF GOD / AND / IN MEMORY OF THE / BELMONT MEN / WHO FELL IN THE / GREAT WAR / 1914 - 1918 / AND / THOSE MEN AND WOMEN / OF BELMONT / WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES / IN THE WORLD WAR / 1939 - 1945." The right and left sides of the pedestal display plaques listing the names of the Fallen. The back face of the pedestal also includes a laurel wreath. The memorial is situated on a slightly raised circular platform.
