Description

The footbridge at Kew Gardens Station was built in 1912 for the Richmond Corporation to cross the London and South Western Railway line. It is constructed using the Hennebique Ferro-Concrete system and is painted. The main section of the bridge features a bowstring design with a span of approximately 23 meters. There are steps on both the east and west sides, along with a ramped parapet and an extended walkway to the west. The outer face of the parapets displays a blind arcade of ogee-headed panels. Additionally, there are two cast iron lamp standards, although the lanterns have been removed.
