Description
Marshgate House, located at 36 Sheen Road, is a two-storey house with an attic and basement, measuring five windows wide. The house features a tiled roof with five segmental-headed dormers beneath a timber cornice with dentils. It is constructed of red brick with light red dressings and has square-headed flush framed sash windows. The entrance is highlighted by a central pedimented Doric porch. There is a stucco band between the storeys, and several rooms inside are panelled. The front garden is enclosed by an ornamental wrought-iron gate and railings. To the right, there are two-storey side extensions that were added in the late 18th and 19th centuries, which include a segmental head to the upper window.
