Description

The Church of St Alban is a Grade II* listed building, constructed in 1886 by William Niven. This lofty stone church features a green copper roof and is designed in the Early English style. The west end is incomplete, lacking a tower, while the east end is apsidal. It has small side aisles and transepts, and the clerestory is adorned with tall four-light decorated windows. The nave is supported by flying buttresses, which are incomplete, suggesting they were not structurally necessary. The interior has not been seen.
