Description
White Lodge is an 18th-century brick house located in Bushy Park, positioned sideways to the road. It features a late 18th to early 19th-century white stucco front facing the garden to the east. The building is two stories tall, with a slightly set forward one-window center under a pediment, and one-story wings on either side that each have one window and high parapets that conceal attics. The ground floor windows are set in round-headed recesses with moulded tops, and the central window is flanked by niches, with sunk panels above adorned with swags. There is a decorative band at both the ground floor window sill and head level. The entrance is located on the north side. This house was designed to complete the vista from the Diana Fountain down the long avenue that meets the well-known chestnut avenue.
