Description

Garrick's Villa is a house dating from around 1756 and 1773, designed by Robert Adam. It is a three-storey building, seven windows wide, constructed of yellow brick with a fluted stucco frieze, cornice, and low parapet. The front facade features coupled pilasters at the ends. A two-storey wooden portico with a pedimented Corinthian design, incorporating four columns and two pilasters, stands in the center of the south front. This portico is supported by a balustraded balcony on the ground floor, which features arcading. A three-storey wing, three windows wide, was added to the left in 1864 using materials to match the main block, including pilasters and cornice. The eastern return of the house features a canted bay window. The interior of the house has not been inspected.
