Description
Morden Lodge is a villa built in the early 19th century, featuring a stucco exterior and a low hipped slate roof that extends to the eaves. The building stands two storeys tall and is three windows wide. At the centre, there is a projecting porch supported by slender fluted Doric columns, topped with a cornice. The entrance includes a panelled door with an arched decorative fanlight above it. The ground floor windows are square-headed with cornices, while the ground floor features sash windows with glazing bars, and the first floor has French casements with margin glazing. Iron window guards and bracketted eaves add to the architectural details. The interior has not been inspected. Morden Lodge is illustrated in Stanley C Ramsay's "Small Houses of the Late Georgian Period."
