Description
The converted stable block adjoining the north end of West Side House is a former stable dating from around 1760, which has been altered and is now used as flats. It is constructed of plum brick with some red dressings and features a steeply pitched pantiled roof. The building is single storey plus dormers and consists of 12 bays, with alterations made to the northern end. It has segmental headed flush framed windows that are sashes with glazing bars. There are four carriageways, one of which is blocked. The square headed dormers are mainly located at the north end, and the entrance is situated in the third bay from the south. A brick modillion cornice runs along the top, and there are two linked pairs of chimneys at the south end.
