Description

This is a pair of semi-detached houses located on Copse Hill in Merton, built in the mid-19th century. The houses are constructed of yellow brick with stone dressings and have a slate roof with low hips extending to the eaves. They are designed in an Italianate style.

Each house is three bays wide, though the outer bays of No. 15 are only two stories high, making the overall appearance asymmetrical. The entrances, located in the second bay, are framed by corniced, architraved surrounds and feature panelled doors. The ground floor windows are round-headed and grouped in triplets to the inner bays, with pairs to the outer bays. Above, the windows are square-headed and have stone architraves and plate glass sashes. Stone bands delineate the floors. The eaves are corbelled.
