Description

No. 27 Copse Hill is a large detached house built in the mid to late 19th century, designed in a Neo-Tudor style. The building is constructed of red brick and features a steeply pitched slate roof with eaves. It has painted stone dressings and consists of two storeys plus a roof storey, with a total of 11 irregular bays. There are three slightly projecting gabled wings located at either end and left of center. The entrance is located in the third bay from the right, featuring a Tudor arched doorway within a two-storey projecting porch. To the right of the entrance, there is a projecting stack with polychrome decoration. The windows are square-headed, with timber mullions and transoms, though some have been replaced by 20th-century windows. The house also has tall stacks with rows of chimneys.
