Description
The conservatory in Gunnersbury Park is an early 19th-century structure, possibly designed by Smirke junior, dating from around 1836 to 1837. It features a stucco and painted stone exterior with a glass roof. The design includes Roman Doric pilasters and an entablature with a blocking course. The central section has a semi-circular bow with engaged columns, and the windows are arranged in a 3:5:3 pattern with glazing bars. There is a central two-fold half-glazed door. The north wing is rusticated and includes two Roman Doric columns in antis.
