Description
The conservatory, located to the northeast of Stratford Park, dates from the late 18th century and was likely constructed during the park's remodelling in the 1780s. It is built of brick and features limestone ashlar on the south, east, and west elevations. The original glazing and roof structure are now missing. The conservatory has a rectangular plan and is a single storey high, with a continuous moulded cornice. The south elevation has eight semi-circular arched window openings, while the east elevation has three. Steps lead up to a semi-circular arched doorway on the west elevation. Inside, there are stone flag floors and original iron decorative grates next to the windows. In the center, there is a separately listed urn.
