Description

Stratford Court is a late 18th-century building located on the south side of Stratford Road. Constructed from hammerdressed stone, it has a hipped slate roof and ashlar chimneys. The building is two storeys high and includes a crenellated parapet with machicolations. It features four ranges of pointed arch windows with intersected lead glazing bars and a band of floral moulding all around, each window having a hoodmould with label stops. A canted porch, also with a crenellated parapet, is present, incorporating pierced quatrefoils and arrowslits. The porch features a pointed arch with elaborate floral moulding around the voussoirs, a hoodmould, and label stops. A crenellated porch is also situated on the north side, and a single-storey extension projects to the west.
