Description
Dirleton House is an early 19th-century building constructed from ashlar stone. It features a ripped slate roof with projecting eaves supported by brackets and stands two storeys tall. A plain stringcourse runs along the building. The façade includes four ranges of double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. The entrance is marked by a porch supported by unfluted Greek Doric columns, which hold up a dentilled entablature and a pedimental blocking course. Inside, there is a mosaic floor with a running fret border and a six-panel door topped by an oblong fanlight. To the north, there is a one-storey extension that includes a moulded cornice and blocking course, along with one additional double-hung sash window with glazing bars.
