Description
Mill House is a 17th century L-shaped timber framed building located on Bury Street in Ruislip. The left section of the house is stuccoed and has two storeys with two windows, while the end is weatherboarded. The building features 19th century casement windows and a four-panel door beneath a modern hood. The right wing, which projects towards the road, likely served as a barn in the past; it is weatherboarded above and has thin timbering with brick filling below. The inner part of this wing has two storeys and two windows in painted brick, showcasing early 19th century sash windows with glazing bars. Both roofs are steeply pitched and covered with old tiles. The left section is topped with an elegant symmetrical 17th century brick chimney, which has arrises, rebated angles, and a cornice with multiple planes.
