Description

  1. 5018 THE GREEN (East Side) WEST DRAYTON No 73 [Avenue House (flats 1 to 4) and Avenue Cottage] (Formerly listed as Avenue House, West Drayton Green) TQ 0579 29/135 1.3.50. II 2. Avenue House is a mid C18 building of 2 storeys, 5 windows. Old tiled roof. Brown brick with bands and parapet. Gauged flat red brick arches to sash windows. Bracketed hood to door. C19 rear addition. One of the flats formed in Avenue House extends into the ground floor of the south end of AvenueCottage, a C16 building of 2 bays and crosswing, on to which Avenue House was built. Visible timber framing with rendered filling. Traces of jetty visible on north side. Old tiled roof. East end chimney largely of Tudor bricks but partly renewed. One old window with diagonal mullions. Other windows small modern casements. Early C19 doorhood on brackets. Much exposed timber inside.
