Description
Gates, gate piers, and curved flanking railings from the late Victorian period are located 50 yards east of Courtenay Avenue on Uxbridge Road in Harrow Weald. Designed in a loose Perpendicular style, the structure features four stone piers that support a central set of wrought-iron double gates, flanked by concave sections of railings. The piers are adorned with vine-leaf carved panels and battlemented heads above paired, cusped panels. The wrought ironwork is particularly elaborate, showcasing double tiers of moulded finials.
