Description
Bydell House, located on Sudbury Hill in Harrow-on-the-Hill, was built between 1807 and 1817. Originally a two-storey structure, an upper floor was added in the late 19th century. The building is constructed of painted brick and features a hipped slate roof. It has four sash windows with glazing bars set in moulded architraves, with later guards added to the first-floor windows. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door within a coved reveal, flanked by attached columns and topped with an open pediment. The left-hand return front has six windows, with the three middle bays projecting slightly. The building was gutted and rebuilt in 1978, but the facades were retained.
