Description

The gate piers to Stanmore Park, located on the west side of Gordon Avenue, date from the 19th century. They are made of stone and feature square shapes with vermiculated rustications. The piers are adorned with a Greek fret frieze and have consoles on both the right and left sides. Each pier has a blocking course and a flat pyramid cap. Please note that the modern gates are not included in this description. Another pair of gate piers can be found on Uxbridge Road.
