Description
The Royal Military Academy South West Gate is a notable structure located on Academy Road, dating from the 19th century. It features two short walls made of multi-coloured stock brick, which are topped with stone copings and include sunk panels. The walls are flanked by square piers that have stone cornices and chamfered tops. Between these walls, there are double wrought iron gates. Additionally, smaller adjacent side piers frame shorter single gates, and there is another pair of flanking piers of intermediate height beyond.
