Description
The pillar box located within the grounds of the Royal Military Academy on Academy Road dates back to the 1860s and is of the Penfold type. It is made of cast iron and features a hexagonal shape with a moulded base and top, along with a horizontal slit for mail. The front of the pillar box displays the VR insignia and the Royal Coat of Arms. The top is adorned with a cornice that includes beading, moulded ribs, leaves, and a topknot.
