Description
East Lodge at the Royal Military Academy is an entrance lodge built in 1862. It is constructed of red brick with stucco and stone dressings, featuring a brick lateral stack and a slate hipped roof in the Tudor Revival style. The building has a single-depth plan and is a single-storey structure with a four-window range. It has a rectangular shape with lower two-window bays on the east and south sides, a plinth with roll-top moulding, a thin string course, and roll-top coping to the crenellated parapet. The windows have label moulds with stucco chamfered surrounds, including mullion and transom windows. The interior has not been inspected. East Lodge is paired with the West Lodge and the East gateway, forming part of the eastern entrance to the Royal Military Academy.
