Description
Nos 25 to 29 on Fairfield Grove are an early 19th century group of stuccoed, two-storey cottages. Number 25 is part of a pair, while numbers 27 and 29 form another pair. Each cottage features one window in the main block beneath a low-pitched, hipped slate roof, and one window in a narrower, set-back entrance link. The buildings have wide, flat angle pilasters, plain reveals, and keystones on the sash windows, which include round-headed windows on the ground floor with a band at the spring. The doors are framed by flat entablatures with cornice heads and rectangular fanlights. Nos 25 to 39 (odd) are recognized as a group.
