Description
Brecon House is a large mid-18th century house that stands three storeys tall and features five windows, along with one-storey flanking blocks. The building is constructed of yellow brick with red brick dressings. A parapet conceals a high-pitched hipped roof that is slated. There is a stone cornice and a cill band at the first floor level. The plinth is rendered, and the replaced sash windows are topped with gauged flat brick arches. Each side wing has a Venetian window, and the central window on the first floor is framed by a stone entablature. The entrance features an early 19th-century six-panel door with a patterned rectangular fanlight, which is set beneath a cornice hood supported by console brackets. Inside, the original woodwork and staircase are preserved, and there are three round-arched stable doors located in the end wall of the south wing.
