Description
Number 23 on Gentleman's Row is a yellow brick house dating from around 1800. It has two storeys and an attic, featuring five windows. The building is topped with a brick dentil cornice and a parapet. The three central bays project forward and are topped with a pediment that has a similar cornice and a round window. The recessed sash windows, which have glazing bars (some of which have been replaced), are adorned with gauged flat brick arches. On the ground floor to the right, there is a carriageway. The left ground floor window is set in a round arched recess with stuccoed impost blocks that match the carriageway. A modern door is located beneath the original radial fanlight. Number 23, along with numbers 1 to 33 (odd), the mentioned walls and railings, and The Coach House, form a group.
