Description

II
- 1887 by Mackmurdo. 2-storey building with 3 windows on lst floor, 6 on ground floor. lst floor oversails slightly and is supported on 7 pilaster buttresses of alternating depth. The deeper ones rise through the ground floor entablature and form plinths at lst floor cill level. Small carved figures stand on the plinths and there are moulded strings at 1st floor cill and lintel levels. Above, a moulded cornice and parapet with ball finials. All windows are casements with glazing bars; and ground floor window surrounds are high reliefs of figures and fruit in terra-cotta. Similar reliefs to pilaster capitals. Insignificant entrance on right return. Walls now pebble-dashed and the whole building washed in cream cement paint. Little original work remains inside, only a screen of 3 shallow, elliptical arches in hall.
