Description
The Church of St Mary, located on Church Road in Hanwell, was built around 1841 and designed by G. G. Scott and Moffat. It features a construction of flint with stock brick dressings and is designed in the Early English style, highlighted by a broach spire. Inside, the church has tall octagonal piers and a clerestory with quatrefoil windows. There is a notable monument to Margaret Emma Orde, created by P. M. van Gelder in 1806. Additionally, a chancel was added in 1898 by W. Pywell.
