Description

The Church of St Mary, located on King Street in Acton, was built in 1865 by Messrs Francis, with the tower added in 1877. This church is constructed of red brick with stone dressings and features a nave, chancel, and a north aisle, all designed in the Decorated style. The three-stage tower has diagonal buttresses and a castellated parapet. It is prominently situated in the center of Acton and includes a memorial to Earl Howe. Additionally, wall tablets from the old church have been transferred to this building.
