Description
The Church of All Saints is a medieval parish church with later additions, located on Addington Road in Sanderstead. It features a flint construction with stone dressings. The church has a three-bay nave dating from the late 13th century, a chancel from the 14th century that was restored in 1832, and a tower. The tower is situated in what was originally the west bay of the nave and rises one stage above the ridge, rendered with stone quoins and topped with a small shingled broach spire. There are two large buttresses on the west wall, and the roof is tiled and extends over the aisles. Inside, there are 14th-century wall paintings located east and west of the east window, depicting King Edmund and an archbishop.
