Description
The War Memorial at the Church of St Alban the Martyr is a granite cross situated on a trapezoidal plinth. The center of the cross features a brass crown of thorns, which encircles a draped Maltese cross. Each arm of the cross is intricately carved with a nine-leafed branch. The front of the plinth displays the inscription: "IN GRATEFUL MEMORY / OF ALL THOSE WHO / FROM THIS CHURCH / AND PARISH GAVE / THEIR LIVES IN / THE GREAT WAR / 1914 - 1918."
