Description

Westow Lodge, dated to the early 19th century, is a stucco-faced 'Cottage Ornée' building. It is two storeys high, with a prominent three-storey central section topped by an open pediment. A central semi-circular porch features fluted Doric columns and a trellis verandah, complete with cast-iron valance and cresting. Windows above the porch are set within open pediments supported by paired modillions. The porch cornice extends across the front of the building and over a recessed window on the right side. The left-hand ground floor projects, containing a three-light sash window framed by pilasters with a cornice and a parapet decorated with vases. Each recessed wing has a single window on the first floor, topped with a half pediment that slopes upwards to meet the central part of the house. Jalousies and cast-iron window-box guards are present.
