Description

This is a large semi-detached house, designed by Ernest Newton in 1884 and featured in his “Book of Houses”. Originally a single residence, it has been subdivided into separate dwellings. The property comprises two storeys, with Nos 126 and 128 set back further from the road than No 124. The ground floor is constructed of red brick, painted on Nos 126 and 128, while the first floor is tile hung. The roofs are tiled, with a substantial brick chimney stack and semi-dormers. The windows are mullioned and transomed. No 126 has two dormers and two casement windows. A wooden doorcase with a modified open pediment and console brackets is present. No 128 has one dormer, two casement windows, and a more modern entrance door.
