Description

The archway and walling in front of Nos 2 and 4 Bickley Road, Bromley, date back to 1599. The structure features a low red brick wall with a wide, obtusely-pointed red brick pedestrian archway at its center. Above the archway is a dripstone, which is topped by a pediment that has brick coping and a finial at its apex. There are also similar finials at each angle of the pediment. The tympanum of the archway contains recesses displaying the initials 'A.B.' and the date 1599.
